Side question: If you're self-hosting a knot, is it possible to push to it directly instead of configuring the remote as tangled.sh? I'd have assumed so, but this makes me second-guess that.

It's impressive how fast you're moving, and it's nice to see that you seem to be coding pretty defensively.

I actually encountered this issue trying to submit a PR to fix another case of overly-strict validation. I'm not complaining though, it's better to be cautious up-front and loosen things once you're sure you understand the implications and necessity.
