1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

Eliminating based off total nominations supposedly reduces the effectiveness of bullet voting (where nominating fewer things gives them a higher chance of winning)

In this case Galactic Cold War has 13.75 and Penric and Desdemona has 12.5, making them the lowest points. But GCW has 15 nominations while P&D has 24, so P&D wins the face-off and goes through to the next round.

The two with the lowest points (the red cells) have their total nominations compared (the “Nom” column) and the one with the lowest total nominations is eliminated.

Just add in a bunch of em dashes and emojis as bullet points and they’ll never know.

It's been caused by the mass eradication of third places for young people in basically every city over the past three decades - and a society that's hostile to the concept of teens socialising in public spaces.
