They look like a bunch of sashimi rolls

I actually do quite appreciate that they didn’t just retcon it but actually worked in a renaming into the story. I think that shows sensitivity to both the culture and the continuity.

The worker simply replies “I didn’t. I just wanted your monkey to have a friend.”

The man walks away with a tiny monkey and a ferret curled up together on his head.

A logo flashes on the screen. Somehow it was an ad for insurance the whole time.

The monkey starts freaking out and trying to paw at him to no avail.

A ferret comes out of the mysterious box, jumps into the water, and seconds later he emerges gasping with the ferret on his head.

He exclaims “How did you know that the touch of a ferret was the only cure to blueberry fever?”

He pays a fee and asks the booth worker for a bucket of water to wash his hair.

The worker gives him a bucket of water and a mysterious box

He sets the monkey aside and sticks his head into the water bucket

His head isn’t coming out. The man starts violently convulsing.
