I went a couple years ago but only did a few in hand classes. I’m excited to be able to actually ride a few tests there too

I found a show at WEC Ohio in June that offers dressage classes and just requested to book the perfect AirBnb only 4 miles away. I really hope everything works out 🤞

Perfect, perfect girls

My mom is the one who helps me film videos for online shows. She always refers to Dakota as her first grandchild and tells her to be good. You can hear her talking to Dakota in the background of some of the videos too. I love it

Yesterday: got plowed down by a friend’s horse and everything now hurts.
Today: got yelled at/talked down to by a coworker for someone else’s mistake.
It’s only Tuesday and I’m over this week.

My lil 14.3 ex western pleasure horse just got a 71.63% in our most recent dressage test. She’s only been doing this for less than a year after wp for over a decade. I’m so happy with her

About once a month/once every other month I get frustrated with Dakota’s bridle path and hack at it with scissors. Today was that day. I regret nothing

Jk I decided that we only live once and we might as well go. There’s about a 50/50 chance that Dakota is either perfect or loses her mind. We shall see!

Having a particular horse is all fun and games until you can’t go a clinic you want to attend bc explaining her buttons to random people is impossible. Like yeah, she has western pleasure fundamentals. But she also does her own thing and I can’t put into words how to ride her

Today marks 7 years with Dakota. I will forever be grateful for my perfect angel child and my biggest blessing in life. 🩷

Went to the grocery store and was immediately stressed out by all the idiots there. So I bought Skeebie a new toy. Mood = improved

When I’ve gotten health certs they’ve been about $50. So to pay $140 and not even get one of those is crazy lol

Everything seems about on par except for the health exam. I don’t think my current vet has ever charged me for one of those. That price is more than even a lameness exam has ever cost me.

Dakota has perfected the “give me treats” head tilt and has started teaching Lilith

What is wrong with people???

One of the barn kids has posting about how stir crazy she’s going after being stuck in her house for almost a week bc of weather. So tmr I’m picking her up, taking her to see her lease horse, and then dropping her at cheer practice. I take my job as former barn rat very seriously

I was 1.13% away from winning my Intro 1 class for one of my online shows 💔

I follow someone on IG who used to be on horse Twitter and she just unfollowed me bc I posted something anti-ICE. At least these people weed themselves out 🤷‍♀️

My fav show series posted their dates for this year AND added a dressage high point so catch me going to all those shows this year

Scores came back for a couple of our online shows and we got a 68%, 68.41%, and 69.55%! Plus multiple 8.0s and our first ever 9.0 on some of our maneuvers. Very happy with the perfect angel child 🥰

If this person on FB doesn’t stop trying to push 24/7 turnout down my throat as a cure all the arthritis I’m going to lose my mind. Would I love for Dakota to be out 24/7? Absolutely. But when I say that’s not an option it doesn’t mean try to guilt trip me into saying something else 🙄

Shoutout to my favorite barn kid for measuring Dakota’s knee the other day so I could order this. Hoping the red light helps with her arthritis 🤞

I’ve figured out the longest time Dakota can go without seeing me is 48 hours. Anything longer than that and she starts wreaking havoc
