Rare grey long-eared bat discovered at Devon's Seaton Wetlands One female bat from an incredibly rare species is found at an east Devon nature reserve.

Great work by @fionamathews.bsky.social , these bats are so quiet and rare but East Devon and West Dorset seem to hold the last colonies. BBC News - Rare bat discovered at Seaton Wetlands

Bumblebees are already overlooked in planning law. The #PlanningandInfrastructureBill could destroy even more of their habitats, with no duty to replace them.

I was struck this morning by the sense of dire urgency expressed by Dame Glenys Stacey, Chair of the @OfficeforEP, on the need to quickly ramp up efforts to get on track to meet legally binding Nature goals. Time is running out, & so is Nature.

So have we moved from illegal Beaver Bombing to Lynx Bombing? these releases are not helpful to the achieving the overall aim of returning species to our nature depleted country. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

What an interesting & inspiring time I had yesterday at Spains Hall in Essex, where farmer Archie is building a new farming business with Nature recovery at its very core. This includes three sets of Beaver wetlands, where wildlife is coming back while reducing flood risk in the downstream village.
