The anime cuts out a lot and thankfully you can’t hear Hachiman (bless). He comes out as a much more decent, less cynical guy as a result. I don’t know how well the series is known in the West but it’s such a feel good story

I originally started reading the light novel when I was working on Isekai a few years back but got really tired of the pacing after a few volumes and thought that Hachiman’s internal monologues about weird cultural references from ten years ago was annoying. So I gave up and put it aside.
