Iteration 9 after 10 hours. I underestimated how long it would take me to train the AI to pick up the items. Ended up not working but it pretty much cost me the rest of the iteration. Ok on to my last attempt!

Added a coin spawner with the help of Bezi. It created a pretty cool spawner but for some reason the coins are distorted in some areas of the track...

Finally got the road texture to look decent! And this just with one single large decal and 4 smaller ones for the tire treads. Pretty happy with it!

7 hours in and I am currently kind of obsessed with finding a simple and performant way to add the track details. I managed to project the track details with a single decal projector but it looks awful... Guess I gotta keep trying...

Finally managed to make the character look a little better! I took the squirrel made by sketchfab.com/Jozellsylves... as a base and rigged, skinned, animated and textured it. Definitely a step up!
