I finally managed to update the mesh of the animated FBX files! Some of the animations didn't quite survive the round trip through Blender but I'll figure that out. Making progress!

Alright, got my decals to look much nicer now and even managed to add a fresnel effect to the terrain. But I couldn't figure out how to make the fresnel configurable yet so I'm stuck with this over the top blue-ish glow for now...

Decided to place the decals for the road texture manually instead of having them placed along the road spline. Looks much better. Next: normal mapping

Sounds great but man Iโve found that trying to pinpoint performance improvements in compose is quite tough as it behaves so differently in release than in debugโฆ

Took me ages to figure out how to disable the blending of the layers in the terrain editor in URP but I managed! Finally starting to look more cartoony! Still looks awful but at least cartoony awful...
