This is … a fair question. And DeRosa, if only for the sake of her own conscience, should think about what a fair answer to the question should be.

It still boggles my mind that so many people couldn't grasp last year how significantly more morally depraved a second Trump term would be in comparison to the first. And how so many people still can't comprehend that our national crisis isn't about politics, but simple morality.

The whole Third Term Project isn’t actually about Trump. The people behind it know he will likely be dead or enfeebled by 2029. It is about them, the vastly unpopular group around Trump, wanting to grift us forever without elections.

It continues to be the height of embarrassment that our allies know that Trump is made happy if you treat him like a toddler playing dress-up and give him the crown that he covets or have a merch stand with his branding.

I was part of the internal Trump administration team trying to convince the president to end the shutdown in 2018 - 2019 — for 35 days — before people went hungry, workers lost pay, and government services collapsed.

Here’s what I learned: he doesn’t give a shit.
