I did 2.5 hours of live streaming last night and it took every ounce of my being to NOT puke every time I watched the defense.

Can't remember the last time I saw (1) a defense look this lost and (2) a complete lack of adjustments.

Truly dreadful.

The only solution is to (1) opt out, or (2) restrict yourself to the "Following" tab with a carefully curated list of people that aren't ridiculous or don't subscribe to reposting ridiculous people.

The biggest issue with social media is that it rewards delusional thoughts. Someone saying something ridiculous receives attention & potential shared revenue on X / FB / Instagram.

That attention has value in social media world. If this person said it in a physical location, they'd be kicked out.

Anyone mentioning "iT wAs JuSt NeW mExIcO" doesn't know ball. Those things are pretty opponent independent.

Now, how will he handle a hostile road environment? If he takes a big hit, how will he respond?

Those are fair open questions, but thus far the stock is up up up.

Most promising stuff about Bryce Underwood on a rewatch:

1. Mechanics - feet & throwing motion are as efficient as they come. Excellent technique.

2. Pocket Presence - ability to keep his eyes downfield while adjusting to pressure is +++.

3. Ball Placement - a few misses, otherwise exceptional.

Wild to think that you could be shipped off to El Salvador with no due process, and the response of the administration to the unanimous supreme court ruling is quite literally "🤷‍♂️".

Can we just have a ref automatically at the review table? This shouldn't take more than 10 seconds to confirm the call and move on.

The only solution is ignoring them. There is no "justice" in correcting them or hitting back with a clever insult.

When their town square is empty, they'll have to find a different topic / platform to spew their hate.

You would think that people on Twitter / X would realize 90% of posts are made with the INTENTION to make you angry / engage with hate on their post.

Hate = engagement. Engagement = $$$.

The author of that post is thinking "what will get people mad" and people fall hook line and sinker for it.

I realized that regardless where I wanted to go with my career, a degree in CS would allow me the freedom to go across a fair number of disciplines / interests.

I never joined a club lol. But had I not gone to those meetings, I wouldn't have gotten that perspective.

The most important I thing did in college was a 2-day barrage of welcome week meetings for various engineering clubs (Solar Car, etc).

I was tentative CS in Engineering at the time. Every single time I mentioned "CS" their eyes lit up. And it was EVERY club.

Imagine if a football team could purposefully jump offsides to force the other team into kicking a 25 yard FG.

That would be batshit insane.

But because this is how basketball has always been, it's just normal, I guess.

Been saying it forever and will continue to say it:

If fouling the other team is a viable approach to winning a game while currently losing, the rules of the game are broken.

Reviews have ruined the game. There's no reason it should be taking this long.

I'm a big proponent of "learn from people's behavior, not from their words." Essentially actions > words.

Truly feel like too many people value what an individual says more than what that individual does.

In what world is THAT the guy we want to include in the political discourse?

Great advice for dem politicians, but it also applies to people, in general.

Have empathy first for people & their problems. Listen & gain understanding. Acknowledge their struggles & pain.

THEN you can focus on solutions & how your approach will be addressing their problems.

I'm convinced that at least 20% of people you see in political replies on X are bot accounts. Even 20% feels low.
