Thinking about how my friend told me I had 30 minutes left to beat Hollow Knight, before she had to go. I wouldn't be able to play again until she's back from vacation.

I leaned forward, figured out how to speedrun Hollow Knight, and saw the frames against The Radiance. Amazing game.

Hollow Knight Ext. Greenpath - Day God rays crack the top of the canopy of the jungle, illuminating the area. The knight stands in the middle of beam, as if delivered from the heavens. Before him stands the GOAT, facing away from him, while pointing her blade at the Knight. She's stands over another Knight that had been killed: their body pierced by blade in the chest, slumped against a broken pillar. She's AURA FARMING like no other. Still, with no acknowledgment that the Knight could be a threat, she threatens him. "Come no closer, ghost."

Started playing Hollow Knight for the first time. I see why people like her so much. Out of all of the boss fights that have you fighting someone around your size, or with similar abilities, (Vergil, Jeanne, Artorias, etc...) she's one of the most DISRESPECTFUL.

I want this, so very much.

Credit to Alien Earth for introducing a species that is just as nightmare inducing as the Xenomorph. Ms. T.Ocellus checks multiple boxes in terms of being fucked up.

The use of "normalcy" and music to connect generations was incredibly effective. It is one of the reason why I hold Sinners in such high regard. The last five minutes of Perfect Days is one of the strongest endings that I've seen. I won't be forgetting about this, jfc.

Dude was just living his life and vibing to the soundtrack of the city and the music he collected. I felt drawn in. Not just like a viewer, but akin to Niko. By the end, I was in tears. I didn't want him to change, but the additions to the day to day, the joy that brought, and music broke me.

As someone that once walked around with a camera, and fancied myself a decent photog, it was nice seeing how integrated his work was, not only in his day to day, but within the context of it being a movie as well. Seeing the variations of same tree and appreciating the beauty of it.

Perfect Days: What a remarkable film. I thought it had a slow start, but realized it's intention as it progressed. Quickly, I became enraptured by Hirayama's routine and came to appreciate the peace that he's found: some of that which I have lost.

Collecting my thoughts in bed, before my musings about "Perfect Days," are interrupted by night's rest. Watched it for the first time today, and it reached me in such a way that it inspired self reflection. Beautiful movie.

I haven't talked about it over here, but I've been deep in a reading list for Betsy Braddock. She's been a fav of mine (with or without the Psylocke mantle), but I didn't know much about her before 2000's era X-Men. Been cool experiencing old stories that I never read.

At any rate, good movie is good. Resident Evil is in great hands. Hopefully, they don't get in the way of whatever his vision will be.

I also do get some of the critique that I've seen, in passing. Less about structure and more about use of antagonist and how that reads.

Weapons is an interesting movie, for sure. I think I like it more than Barbarian, but I do like Tess more than the characters in this one. Weapons has like 3 allegories that it runs on and I'm surprised that the director refuted the most in your face one. Lol.

A great friend of mine has me particularly inspired, so hopefully I can knock out the script for my next video, this week. Just have to fight my health nonsense. 😭

I'm only on hour two and I am NOT looking forward to having to navigate crawlspaces and basements.

It's my first time playing it, and I had zero idea that I signed up for Silent Hill 4 WITH A CAMERA instead of a gun. As soon as we saw that you could explore the house, outside of the dream state, we both knew these developers were on demon time.

Spent the evening playing "Fatal Frame III: The Tormented," for a friend of mine and to my surprise, the scary game is actually really fucking scary. 😭 The sound design is great. I'm up here trying to have a conversation with her and keep stopping, cause I keep hearing the most wicked shit ever.

Watched Bring Her Back. Whatever I ultimately feel about it, when I wake up in the morning, there is one aspect of this film that my opinion won't change on: Sally Hawkins' performance. Sally was acting like her life was on the line. She's that good in this.

I adore M3GAN 2.0. Ivanna Sakhno sells the hell out of Amelia. She gives one of my fav performances of a murderous robot, since the old Terminator films.

If I can tear myself away from the new Clipse album and fight the urge to watch the Evil Dead Rise (and 2013) for the 50th time, I think I'm gonna try to get to Bring Her Back, Companion, and Until Dawn.

Working on the script for the next horror game video that I want to make, and I think Mia Winters (RE7 and 8) is the most interesting character that Capcom put in a horror game after Haunting Ground.

Then they removed all of her agency and did nothing with her in Village or the DLC...
