If Baylor can build on of this and not be forced to face back to back top 15 teams, they will make the tourney.

The Big 12 is dominant in men’s ball, and Baylor had to face a murders’ row of teams that should go far in the tournament. They did not play well in those games.

But it isn’t fair to judge them solely on how they lost to those teams along the challenges they face with a brand new team.

Yeah, the turnover has been killer, especially the unexpected ones like Sochan and Missi. But I am assured every time recruiting is brought up that we need one and done guys, just in case we can catch lightning in a bottle and they single-handedly take us to the promise land.

We have had several identities through the years, with our most successful one being focused on defense, but also great playmakers and 3 point shooting. We need special players to do all those things, but it would be nice to have at least one of them.

So like, what do they do during practice? Is it just free play for conditioning? Why are the coaches not setting up plays, pr are the players not running them?

There is little effective movement, absolutely useless screens, and passing that only seems to run the clock down before one player drives into 2+ defenders or throws up a prayer from 3.

I just don’t understand why it seems we can’t run successful plays. Every offensive possession that doesn’t end in a turnover seems to be one player trying to take it themselves.

Baylor does not have the stars to win with hero ball—we have tried to do so ever since the championship, and have been a miserable failure.
