finally ordered take out for the mandalay location in ivy city food works. highly recommend! tastes just like the home location in silver spring. many, many vegan options. cool to have it a bit closer for those in the city.

haha, i grew up in richmond and all we knew about tysons was to never, ever drive there. that was the only thing they taught us.

remembering they had a plan to eventually add some circulator type buses (or vans maybe) to roam around tysons connecting to each metro station, but then i never saw that. would be super easy low hanging fruit to add this. but yeah, they are mostly good at enabling private auto use.

tysons is so interesting. i wonder if fairfax will ever get it to a plausibly walkable urban area, as a whole.

there are one or two pockets within individual real estate developments. but it seems decades away real walkability between the disparate sections.

the reason D.A.R.E. failed is they showed us that big suitcase of mysterious cool looking drug paraphernalia and then said don't investigate this ever even though we ourselves will never ever mention it again.
