I want to make one thing clear. An unwelcome person snuck into our fursuit parade. I was standing by the escalators and saw every single suit that went by, and I did not see him. I still don't know how he got by me, but if I had spotted him, I would have said, "Hold it. You...come here."

I do, too. I see these people parading around and spewing their hate and I would love to come up with a way to needle them, to make them see just how idiotic they look. But I missed the mark pretty badly. I didn't mean to offend decent people, and I apologize.

Last year, the North Carolina senate approved a bill that would criminalize wearing a surgical mask in public, but which allowed Klansmen to wear hoods. At the time I tried to call out what I saw as blatant institutionalized racism, but the callout was misconstrued.

My apologies for being unclear.

Onsite, of course, we must be restrained and observe proper decorum.

But this is not onsite. We can talk about whatever we want to. And we intend to.

This gentleman driving by disagreed with the message we were communicating. He kept asking "What makes you think he wants to be a king?" He was at least civil about it, but I did not think that I was able to explain it in terms that he would understand.
