I've been thinking that. A teenager going for her first fitting is likely to be squirming with embarrassment regardless. Throw in a forceful mother with Opinions and an embellished mumsnet-worthy tale, and it's easy for the Telegraph to spin things to the extreme

Found myself agreeing all the way to the penultimate paragraph, and the suggestion to split the EHRC to avoid culture wars

It would make it far too easy to forget to create a commission to protect trans people, but I'm unsure if that's better or worse than an antagonistic EHRC

Complain about Bash Back all you like but they got an unequivocal statement of how the government is harming us in the press.

You've embraced cruelty instead of equality, persecution in place of human rights and you should be collectively ashamed

They all try and pretend there's no shared causality between being transphobic and being homophobic or racist or any other kind of bigot

Her saying all this vile stuff about other minorities isn't a surprise to any of us because that way of thinking is why she's "Gender Critical" in the first place
