Yep. By and large, the promised massive savings for buying digital didn’t pan out. When it’s only a couple of dollars more to buy a print book that you get to own, not license, it’s kind of a no-brainer.

Long story very short, four times I had to take an ambulance to and from a hospital to a cancer treatment center across the street (I could have walked there, had I been able to walk). The ambulance charge was $5,000.

Right when #starbucks workers are set to go on strike, the company sends me an email to let me know I still have $12.15 in my account. I've never gotten an email like that from them, and I haven't used the account in over a year. Funny how they need me to know NOW about that money, huh?

Agreed. The reason the right wins so fucking always is that they - with few exceptions - don't eat each other. They don't hold each other to increasingly difficult standards. Having standards isn't wrong, but holding the moral high ground doesn't mean much when the boot is on your neck.

The gaslighting from Southwest Airlines in their new TV ads is astonishing. Acting like everyone was begging for assigned seating? Seriously? Few who fly Southwest want it that badly, if at all.
