I was wondering what would make my no.1 for #5DebutAlbums0509 but now I’ve listened again it’s got to be Daniel Land @danielland.bsky.social & The Modern Painters. Such a gorgeous dreampop album, do try if you’ve never heard before.

It’s the mountaineering aspect that feels a misnomer, although I’m watching from the comfort of my home so maybe don’t appreciate the steepness of the hill (and the staircase).

First time I’ve seen Ski-Mo, was hoping it would be sheer rock faces they had to climb 😆

Oh yes that was, and still is, the best theme.
Must admit I prefer all the themes without the singers, think it’s due to this album.
