Time can't bowl out Bishopthorpe CC's octogenarian John Latimer John Latimer, who turned 80 years of age last week, still plays first-team cricket for Bishopthorpe CC.

And he’s now been featured in the local newspaper, along with a mention of our game.
Very proud of him still playing sport regularly, an inspiration.

Both teams after the game, we lost by about 16 runs

This time last week I was playing my first game of cricket for about 30 years. All to honour my Dad who’d turned 80 that week, and I joined him & my brother in their weekly evening friendly game, along with my nephew. The four of us opened the batting, although didn’t do that well, but it was fun.

Could be for my ears 😆
