AOTC is easily my least favorite SW movie. Having said that, no SW movie is anywhere close to “the worst movie I’ve ever seen.” I’ve seen “Catwoman.” I’ve seen “The Garbage Pail Kids Movie.” I’ve seen “Showgirls 2: Penny’s From Heaven.”

Sadly, no.

How big a nerd am I? I just had a dream DC put out a new “Who’s Who in the DC Universe” in the style of the original. The art was all new, not repurposed old art like their encyclopedias. But they went full retro & printed it on newsprint, which annoyed me. Anyway, I’m this nerdy even unconscious

I love Rebels, I just wish the animation was on Clone Wars level. As much as AOTC is my least favorite SW movie, I adore CW.

The funny thing is I greatly prefer Ep III above the other two. It’s the only one of the prequels I genuinely like. 🤷‍♂️

It’s my least favorite of the entire bunch. The effects in I & III hold up remarkably well, but II looks mostly terrible. So It’s endlessly fascinating to me that it spawned one of my favorite pieces of all SW media, the Clone Wars animated series.

Nothing brings out the rando weirdos than when I post even the mildest of “hot” takes on Star Wars.

Yeah, every time they change the color combo to make it black and silver I hate it. Walt Simonson made pink and blue work dammit.

The OG She-Ra (kinda)

The IMAX cut of AOTC has 22 minutes missing, and is infinitely better. Tons of superfluous stuff removed, including most of Anakin’s worst acting scenes. There’s never been an official release outside of IMAX. No SW movie needs a special edition tinkering more than this one.

On pure reflex, I tend to hate most ‘80s/‘90s ‘badass’ upgrades to simpler, Silver Age characters. However, Angel was boring af pre-Archangel, and this design for Warren still totally rules. This is the great exception to my rule.

Jenette Kahn and Supes.

On this day in 1976, Jenette Kahn, a comics outsider was installed as publisher of DC Comics, which was failing and in danger of shutting down completely. At the time I thought WTF, what sort of corporate skullduggery is this? As did most of comicdom. Man, were we all wrong. She's a legend.

There are truly some absurd names on that wall. Like, Scotty’s cadet nephew who died in Wrath of Khan. He’s venerated 900 years later? Give me a break 🙄

I loved her, great character. I’m convinced it was because she read as “grandma,” & the male fanbase was more into the more conventionally attractive Crusher. It’s that simple. I always hated how they acted like she never existed, even if I’m glad Gates got her job back she was unjustly fired from

Oddly, her final rank is listed as Ensign, which seems unlikely
