My failure is particularly galling looking back, as I can remember pretty clearly the moment when I realised I didn't fit in. Almost exactly 10 years ago in the first module of my History degree, I blew all these kids minds by suggesting

Does the chosen OS have any effect on compatibility within Proton/Steam? Like, are some proven to be easier/have better results than others?

So Proton is actually Valve, right? So I can install that, access my account and, install and play from there?

Well my main use case is games, that and watching stuff. I know there are some good options for like music player/libraries. I actually still have Mint installed on my laptop from the last time I decided to try my hand at learning.
