I have acquired a new box of Kasrkin, as my previous 40k squad is not Killteam compliant and I built the Sergeant as 9e compliant so not good for KT or 10e!

The plan:
Build "Unbroken" as my KT Sergeant - HS Laspistol and Power Weapon.
Build new box sergeant as my 40k Sergeant - Plasma/Power Weapon

The problem is not the faction, but the subset of players who are too into that faction. And I don't want to encounter them.

Even H.G. Wells didn't discount girls from playing historical wargames in 1913...

There's too much scope for people who are a bit /too/ into that faction IYKWIM.

Fuck's sake, I knew an older kid back in 1e 40k who painted his marines as The Crap Mustache Guy Youth. Thankfully I did not maintain contact with him, as I was at an impressionable age.

This put me off playing Konflict 47. I'm annoyed at this, because K47 looked like a fun game. It has WW2 diesel futurism and mad science. And, most importantly, no Hugo Boss 1934 collection Spicy Windmill Boys. As an aside, I had no interest in Bolt Action due to a Spicy Windmill faction.
