Worked for more than 1 hr on a presentation including loud scrappy rasgueado sounds today in a cafeteria. Tuns out my earphone were not plugged in and the whole place got hit with infrequent unpleasant noise at my convenience. I guess I won’t be back #phdchat

Yeah, I’m so sorry I missed him! I’m predominantly looking into sound production, so plucking hand technique, rather than fretting hand situations. Maybe something for the next dissertation? 🤔

Yes, there will be techniques that are either plucking, strumming or a combination. There might not be too much more gypsy stuff and this is only a partial draft right now, but I’ll do my best to keep reporting on this.

It definitely took some getting used to at first. I decided to start with a paper for my first project rather than the thesis and that was really good. Gave me a chance to gain experience and set up everything the way I wanted to.

Scrivener is great. I love it.

Oh yeah, I can relate! Right now, I can do most of my work offline, but there will be a time when I’ll try to find eduroam wherever possible.
