Yea I was able to heal, i wrote about it the other day but I took a long hiatus to just focus on other parts of my life. Managing my expectations and making smaller goals/projects has been the best thing for my mental.

My burnout manifested as a combo of life events and game dev school burnout. I focused on trying to grow a skillset that I wasn't really passionate about and gave myself no room to fail and learn.

Texturing in Blender isn't bad actually. It's just different.

Here I used Normals Falloff masking to paint only on perpendicular surfaces. Could also bake something similar with many point lights, but I enjoy freedom of brushwork I get this way.
