Not sure what you mean. It isn’t a law so are you saying landlords enforce it anyway? All I’m saying is it makes sense to not spend so much on rent so I think we agree prices are just too high.

But it makes sense. If you are paying more than a third of your income for rent you’re going to run into issues at some point. Unless you have a money stash to supplement.

So I am stuck paying more than 1/2 my take home pay for rent.
