cohost post by me, titled "my concept for a doom wad", headed by a screenshot from a beggin strips commercial edited to look like a DOOM screenshot. "my idea is basically a map based on the classic Beggin' Strips series of commercials. you know, the ones in a first-person perspective from a golden retriever. so playing off the fact that those commercials take place in a first-person perspective, the only weapon you have is Snout. all it can do is sniff (gameplay purpose TBD). and the weapon sprite and its placement is that of the snout seen in the commercials. you can't unequip it or run out of ammo or anything because you're a dog, and it's part of you. anyway the plot of the map starts with you (a dog) hearing/smelling a bag of Beggin' Strips being opened from a distance (much like the classic plot seen in the commercials). you have to get through the map (a typical suburban household (again, much like in the commercials)), find the individual who opened the bag (boss fight potential?), and get the Beggin' treat you so desire (and deserve!). now, there exist several Beggin' Strips commercials that follow this same general formula, so what *I'm* thinking, is there could be a whole episode's worth of levels, each taking elements from specific commercials. I think this idea has a lot of potential, so let me know what you think"
