We've gotten too used to gigantic tellies, efficient flat screens, and the scale of manufacturing these days seems to suggest a dark future of "The Slab™️" being the future to share as much commonality with smartphones and laptops as possible to be as broadly useful as possible

A big hiccup here for bringing back phosphor displays might be the business end splitting from LCDs/OLED displays to phosphors for niche roles due to the energy efficiency and "chunk" of tube displays that they historically had.
