I wish you'd stop pretending there's no difference between holding a religious belief and allowing that religion belief to influence how others should be treated by the state.

No. I'm saying people who openly say they would vote to deny rights to others because of their own personal beliefs shouldn't be appointed to positions of power.

I can't make it any clearer for you I'm afraid. have a nice day.

I didn't say people of faith should be excluded from public life. It's this misrepresentation that people always seem to rely on when defending on KF. There are plenty of people of faith in power.

Why am I seeing people, including LBC hosts, discussing Bonnie Blue comparing her with Andrew Tait?!

Regardless, it is not an acceptable attitude for a person in a position of power.

The normalisation of transphobia, and the extent of the dehumanisation of transgender people in this country is absolutely sickening.

It’s hideous. It’s shameful. England has become a sewer.

TBH I should probably go back to the GP and clarify things since it's continued for so long. Thank you for the nudge to do so! 😊

I had that in the past when I used to get bouts of severe pain (stopped when I stopped eating meat) and it never helped. GP did prescribe something else which I can't remember now but it didn't seem to have an effect either.

I think yesterday I saw a post here with links for complaining to (and possibly a petition) M&S about them apologising for an LGBT+ staff member existing. Anyone got it...?

Oh... Since just over a year ago I've been getting bad indigestion frequently - often several times a day and every day. I'm now popping gaviscon double action after most meals since the GP said there wasn't really anything else to be done (other than self-research the gut biome and consider diet).

Just Google her name with 'gay marriage'. By the way, I'm not a fan of the snp government. Maybe you presumed I am and that's why you are comparing to other ministers...?

05.08.2025 10:18 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

She literally said she would have voted against equal marriage had she had the chance. HY story is a conspiracy theory and also - we're not talking about him and he's no longer a government minister so not sure what you think referring to him (or Swinney) is a counter argument.

05.08.2025 10:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I don't recall either of them saying they would vote against people's rights because of their own religion. I'm not anti-christian - I'm against people in power using their religion to justify denying other people's rights.

05.08.2025 10:08 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I don't care if it's 'taught to believe'. Anyone who thinks others deserve less rights than them because of their own religious beliefs should not be in positions of power. That's not balance.

And @marksandspencers.bsky.social are absolutely SPINELESS CRETINS for not sticking up for their trans employees in the face of malicious, vindictive, β€˜gender critical’ transphobic bigots, whose ONLY obsession is to HURT trans people! 😀

Read this again…

The β€˜wanting to remain anonymous’ transphobic-as-f*ck β€œmother” is demanding β€œthat M&S would implement a policy to ensure that transgender staff would not approach young women”

They want to remove trans people from being in customer-facing jobs!😣

And the Telegraph is PROMOTING it!

I find it insulting that someone would think balance means putting someone in power who thinks I don't deserve the right to marry the person I love because I'm different to her.

Imagine being John Swinney, or any other Scottish government minister, having stood by the appointment of a bigot knowing how much hurt it caused their LGBT+ and progressive ally constituents, only for her to step down shortly after.

Did this polarising appointment achieve anything in the end?

Everything has been turned on its head, including the Equality Act (2010), the spirit of which was to protect against discrimination but a generation of ill-informed people think it's all about who is allowed in what spaces.

What our press has done to trans people is comparable with what Nazi-controlled press did to Jews. A group of people have been relentlessly demonised at the behest of some ultra rich people and now they're gleefully documenting every chip away at acceptance and inclusion.

It angers me that trans youth have been driven to (minor) criminal acts to make their voices heard. It didn't have to be like this. Streeting and Starmer's government have alienated a generation of LGBT+ people and it won't be forgotten. I hope they never have another day of peace in their lives.

"However, whilst the judge dismissed the case based upon For Women Scotland, we take some solace in the fact that he found that, if he was not bound by that decision, he would have agreed with our client and found that the need to show that exclusion was 'necessary' so as to
comply with the Equality Act 2010 would have been on the defendants, that was a hotly contested issue at trial.
"More importantly, the judge also found that if he were required to decide it, he would have found that the EBPF's actions were not capable of
being a 'proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim' and so the defendants' secondary case would have failed. But, obviously because of the judge's reliance on For Women Scotland, the claim still had to be dismissed. We are reflecting on the judgment and our next steps which will include whether or
not we appeal."

Basically, the court would have supported a trans woman if it weren’t for the mandate from the highest court that it was now okay to hurt trans women.

A statement issued today through the TEN portal, see link below in the light of further unacceptable developments towards the UK's transsexual and intersex minorities. The UK remains RED FLAGGED for genocidal intent by the Lemkin Institute for genocide prevention.
