It's funny to me that I got this so recently, cuz I know Sayla poster and another builder I think named Jake that also posts on Gundam feed both also got versions of the Barbatos Slim recently (MG and MGSD Iron Coating). I'm trying photo etch metal parts for the first time.

I used to be dismissive of the take too but I realized it's really just cuz I was being impatient. I think the themes of the show could have really come to fruition better if they had the full 50 episodes, and as it stands the ending feels a little too convenient wrapping up so swiftly.

When it comes to these wings, u really do gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em
They're really cool when spread out but it can be hard to get them all in frame. I like the folded up look as well either way though.

There are 2 joints in the arm of the Unicorn RG's that are notorious for breaking I'm afraid 😔 the MSJoint frame needs loosened via working it back and forth very carefully or even through applying oil, and the transformation joint will snap if you try to bend the former while it's too tight.

This was something I found earlier this week while looking into something else. They used black oil paint over a yellow base, then rubbed off the black with a toothbrush coated with thinner and it looks beautiful 😁

HGIBO Barbatos Lupus Rex + Iron Toy metal replacement frame
Some parts are kind of fiddly with this new frame, but overall I'd say it's an improvement if only for the added heft. I think it's worth the money but only if you have a strong bias for IBO kits, otherwise it's just too much work.

Your phone/camera might have an automatic light balance thing in it based on the surrounding area. The TV is a big ol' black spot in that pic alone, so it might have cranked up the brightness or tone setting to compensate.

Ohhhh yeah I get what u mean, I wonder if they're gonna make some special extended joint for the shoulders. That would be really cool for customs to alter the proportions of the regular G-Frames 🤔🤔

It's not that bad! The sub-arms are mounted to the backskirt, one of the only parts of the frame that doesn't tend to need any fiddling with to make stay on 🥹
The regular arms also look extended though like the Lupus/Marchosias so they might have some slight problems 😔
