As someone who came back to the hobby after the initial eurogame ‘change’ I tend to think of it all as “modern board games” vs old. There’s still some bangers in the old stuff but you have to go into them remembering it was a very different era.

Ah right. Thanks for the clarification. With all the “This is an XBox” PR they’ve been doing for XBox Cloud play the immediate assumption was that it just streamed like any other portable/desktop/phone/fridge and was equally bad :)

So is it just streaming XBox cloud games or actually playing them offline locally? Because if you have to be tethered to good broadband to play you might as well have an Xbox and a proper size TV.

I think it’s always been just as easy to make games. However the expectation of what games you make (either for fun or profit) has changed dramatically. Actually selling games has definitely got a lot harder.
