I called some friends, and I’m now eating pasta while Xerx crunches on kibble, so I think it’s gonna be okay. Gosh, does that suck tho.

And then during the break, hours later, this right-wing Christian guy stood over me and did the whole “How many people have you taken into your house?!” bit. And ya know what, his intimidation was intimidating and it sucks. My body is shaking and I’m upset.

Super shaky because I didn’t get a chance to eat dinner, but proud to speak as a Christian, former shelter worker, and citizen in a fascist state, against increasing policing of homeless folks.

After being short people in Derby & Church this week, one thing I can say for sure is that Heaven will be fully staffed 🫠😅😴⚓️

A weight I didn’t know I was still carrying has been lifted from my shoulders. I’ve been so voraciously hungry for any kind of justice or accountability, and this gives me that, and some measure of peace. ⚓️

In other Title IV news, a man whose behavior hurt me, my parish, my friends, and many others is no longer a priest in the Episcopal Church. I am relieved, and so thankful he won’t hurt anyone like this ever again. ⚓️

I love her so much. She was my confirmation saint, and the older I get the more I am grateful she found me when I was so young.

So good! My deacon mentor was out of town, so I shadowed a deacon at another parish, and they were all so welcoming and I didn’t make a fool of myself EMing at a new church!

Yeah, I could see a kind of combo working for me, where I’ve got a dress on till I get into the alb in cooler layers.

I’m just a large femme, so I can’t wear skirts without shorts. It’d be another layer. 🙃 But your MC is on to something!

Okay, I might have to try this. I feel a little…sacrilegious wearing just shorts and a tee or tank, but it would help a lot.

I got a scholarship from a local women in ministry foundation, so I’m going to buy a linen one! I’d rather be slightly wrinkly and cool! Glad to know this does make a big difference!

Hey, trying to find some community- does anyone know anyone who is-
1) In formation while working full-time not at a church (ideally diaconate)
2) Is a vibrant-haired clergy person in a mainline denomination? ⚓️

I was an acolyte for a decade, and loved it dearly, but it’s been so long and church has become so complicated. But yesterday with the Cursillo team and today at St. Mary’s was the reminder that it is sweetness.

My first Sunday with a liturgical role at my contextual ed parish, and my biggest takeaway is the reminder of how sweet it is to be a part of worship. 🥹⚓️

Oh rad, I might sometimes! I usually pray it with Morning at the Office podcast, but it’d be fun with live humans!
