A poster design by Huw Evans of EYECATCHER Graphics and Design, for the "Dark Bridges" horror movie festival taking place at the Broadway Theatre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, June 6-8th, 2025. The image shows a takeoff on the classic anthropomorphized cartoon treats from the old "Let's All Go To The Lobby" animated cartoons that played in theatres for decades. In this version, the drink is a vampire (full of blood); the popcorn is a werewolf (because popcorn transforms into something else); the hotdog/frankfurter is the Frankenstein Monster (due to the similar name and the fact they are both made up of random pieces of flesh); the pizza slice is a zombie (with chunks dripping off), and the candy is a devil, complete with a Twizzlers pitchfork and a gummy serpent.

For 2025's Dark Bridges, Saskatoon's Horror Film Fest (coming soon!), I re-imagined the "Let's All Go To The Lobby" treats as monsters, and here's the artwork. THANKS FOR LOOKING!

Been a minute since I posted somethin new…here’s a new design I just finished for some local punks! A 3 band EP release show comin up end of Feb! (L-R) Broken Idols, Asspatch, and Dirty Sanchez Orchestra, all dropping new EP’s at the same time!! Finished poster comin shortly! 🤟

Yup! It’s the only part of my process where it’s smooth sailing, not much brain required 😄, so I find it quite therapeutic…compared to the sketching stage…which is almost always a battle. 🫠

Yeh, Q is a tough one…only thing I could come up with was the Queen Alien. 😅

But it tackles that darker subject matter with such an uplifting “fuck that” attitude, just gets me every time. Like “fuck you world! I WILL endure! Fuckin watch me!”

Not many records give me physical goosebumps when I listen to them…but for some reason this one always does. Something about it just feels sad and tragic throughout, but oddly hopeful too, like you feel it. This song especially…as I’m pretty sure it has to do with battling the thought of suicide.

I was reminded of this gem of a record after chatting with someone recently about how good old Punk-O-Rama comps were back in the day, especially for discovering some obscure punk bands! Definitely an old fav that I tend to forget about, but every song is seared into memory.
