07.12.2025 18:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I've had a good day thanks IG. Went out hiking in the pouring rain, but that's why you get the good rain gear! Beautiful, pleasant day nonetheless.
I hope your weekend is going well. Take care. ๐
What a cutie. Well, no mistaking where the got the name!

07.12.2025 18:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's a great place to start. Leads up the mountain to a 6,000 year old cairn and over the ridge to another cairn of a similar age. Loads of nice little trails through the (unfortunately non-native) forest on the way back too.
If you ever make it over this way, I'd be more than happy to show you.
Thank you, very kind ๐

07.12.2025 13:25 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Winter's good for that here. You don't have to get up too early for the sunrise.
07.12.2025 13:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Nice one Mamady. Beautifully composed with nice layers of colour and subjects. ๐
07.12.2025 13:22 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Now that you say it I guess I have seen them in documentaries. I feel the same way about swimming snakes. I'd rather they just stayed on the ground!

The other I read was The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. Really enjoyed this one. A very casual writer which I didn't quite like at first but her style grew on me quickly. The characters are very well done. The ending was a bit loose but I find very few authors seem to do endings well.
This last week I read What We Can Know by Ian McEwan. It's shortish but I thought he repeated himself quite a bit in the first part. I was glad when it changed to Part Two which I found more enjoyable. A good read overall. I'm going to try Amsterdam.
1/2 ...
Nice picks Susan. I have Amsterdam on my list.

07.12.2025 12:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I like to start in the morning but rarely before sunrise. I like my bed too much!
The sun rises late this time of year though, around 8:30 right now. This was taken about 9am.
Flying snake? I do not like that combination of words. ๐ฌ
Nice shot though!
Cheers! Anything that looks sulphurous must be tasty right?
07.12.2025 12:27 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks. It's a favourite place. The start of many a hike.
