Edmund White exactly as friends knew him; taken some months ago on my last visit with Edmund, with mutual writer-friend Edward Hower who took this lovely photo in Edmund's Chelsea apartment literally stacked with books; & works of art on the walls.

R.I.P. Edmund White. A great writer. He shall be missed.
