Tawny owl

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

The problem truly is this: Christianity has changed from "walking the walk" to "talking the talk."

Evangelicals changed the rules of heaven and people grabbed onto it because it's the easiest path: As long as you believe Jesus is lord and savior, you're in. Actions no longer matter. Easy, right?

It is the inevitable consequence of 'by faith alone' - a theology that doesn't require the believer to put inward transformation into behaviour in the real world hence the reason why there are so many hypocrites in the evangelical movement yet they maintain their positions within their movement.

They are generally lovely, with full complex fruit. A few I’ve tried have been ruined by being over-sweetened. ☺️
