making art in the time of AI

lately i've been getting more questions (and occasionally downright accusations) of using AI in art and music. rest assured i have not and will never touch that garbage. thank you

also #indiedevs and other independent creatives: how do you get your work out to more people? do you make discord servers? do you bug all your friends? do you annoy other, more successful creators?

do you do a funny dance? should i do a funny little dance? should i do a desperate little jig?

looking at code I wrote a few months ago with the experience i've gained from doing more #gamejams is a fever dream

what do you mean i have three different scripts that keep completely independent lists of the same game objects

anyway! i'm gonna try to start up a game project, expanding on one of my jam games! apparently the splash art i made is so good that people are still clicking on it despite it being the least polished of my jams, so something about it must be compelling

saw a post about how AAA game dev is better if you want stability and like

i don't know if that's particularly true anymore

it does NOT feel like november when its like still 60 out and the tree in the yard still has all its leaves and is totally green
