If you haven’t been masking up lately, now would be a great time to restart.
It was reprehensible when people mocked condom usage at the height of the AIDS pandemic.
It is just as depraved to mock those wearing masks to reduce the spread of airborne viruses today.
Whenever someone takes any kind of step to protect public health, they should be applauded, not mocked.
A timely reminder that Farage’s Reform party also embrace some of the anti-vaccine rhetoric Trump and RFKJr have been leading.

Eliano A. Younes @elianoayounes · 3h I think we fundamentally disagree on the concept of “peace through strength.” you’re upset that Karp speaks openly and proudly about equipping our warfighters with the best capabilities so they can deter America’s enemies, or eliminate them when necessary. furthermore, you aren’t really grasping the integral role that software plays in preserving privacy and civil liberties while simultaneously allowing our government to protect us from threats. you have every right to question whether or not the government can be trusted, but to assume that Palantir is the tool they are using to break the law shows the lack of accuracy in your research. I’m personally not going to “meet you on camera” but shoot I’ll shoot you a DM and we can work something out with one of my PCL colleagues or a member of the community. It’s an important conversation to have. GamersNexus @GamersNexus · 3h Big change in tone from you. Thanks for acknowledging that we have the right to question you and the government. He tried to divide and rule BMA leaders from their members, to turn public opinion against striking doctors, to smear us to the press at every opportunity. His favourite term of abuse was “militants”, though you favour words like “self-indulgent”, “irresponsible”, “dangerous”, “reckless,” “abandoning patients in their hour of greatest need.” Jeremy Hunt learned from his mistakes. He has spoken publicly about bitterly regretting his bullying tactics. You, on the other hand, appear to have learned nothing from 2016. You assume the worst of the young doctors out on strike today – that they care only about self-enrichment, that they don’t give a damn about their patients. You could not be more wrong. They hate striking, which is a desperate act of last resort. But what choice do they have? Today’s young doctors face something beyond ludicrous - the modern farce that is NHS doctor unemployment. You, Wes Streeting, the man responsible for NHS workforce planning, lead a system so broken that there are doctors today literally unable to find jobs in the NHS you claim to be rebuilding. What a travesty in a country so desperately short of psychiatrists, GPs, radiologists, acute medics and NHS doctors of every kind. You offer the creation of some (not enough) new training posts to striking doctors as though this is benevolent, gracious. Well it’s not. It is frankly grotesque to say, “I won’t pay you more, but I am willing to decrease (though not eradicate) the chances of you being unemployed next year.” Small wonder we’re losing resident doctors to Australia in droves. Every attack and smear you deploy against resident doctors over the next five days only exacerbates their despair. Slo…
I've written this open letter to Keir Starmer &
