I'd like to hang in with him for one more year with a new hitting coach. He showed good power in 2024 and is a potential DH, power bat off the bench and while not a good defender right now, can play first & third. One more year.

I'd love to see this happen. Fonzie believes in patience at the plate and working the count. I've been calling for him to be our hitting coach. But I don't know Joe Pantorno so I honestly don't know if he's a credible source. Hopefully someone can enlighten me! #MetsSky #LGM

Injury prone and very particular training, recovery and pitching requirements, i.e. the need for the six-man rotation. Is it possible that the front office is just warn out trying to meet these specific requirements?

Hell, Chris should get a whole garden for his creation. Using Bluesky is so much easier for me, living on the feed. I read everything from the feed, and very limited content off the feed.

Alonso also does not have the Qualifying Offer tag, making it easier for other teams to sign him without giving compensation.

Absolutely. As spring training gets started, we can try to find all the new Bluesky #Mets fans to let them know their not alone.

For me, he's just a personal disappointment. I was a fan in his early days at Newsday. He wrote a nice article about something Mets-related that I was doing. Now, the only time he might have something to say is when Scott Boras wants to a rumor to get out there. Wasted talent.

That's a lot for one pitcher, but we've done it before. I think it took us five players (mostly pitchers) to get Frank Viola back in the late 80's, including Rick Aguilar.
