Bassoonist here, nice job. For my senior recital as a composition major in college (100 years ago) I did an electric bassoon quintet, using a Barcus Berry pickup, recorded a 4-track tape and played along with it live.

As a person who twice barely avoided getting kidnapped and sent to conversion therapy by my own family members it is very disheartening to hear that conversion therapy is still being discussed. Last i checked the only thing it converts is living kids to dead ones.

I admire your Dad for exposing you to it. We went to a rather avant garde performance over the weekend, a piece for 50 microtuned pianos and a chamber orchestra, and I loved that some people brought their kids.

Amazing. I wish kids and younger people were more exposed to classical music nowadays. When my wife and I go to concerts or the opera, aside from some Juilliard students, I still think we bring the average age down…and we’re in our mid-60’s.
