This is what I try to always tell people: food banks can do way more with your money than you can, due to bulk buying deals. And they can do way, way more with your money than with the canned goods you didn’t want to eat

If you have it please donate cash to the food banks. $10 in their hands will feed more people than the $10 worth of canned goods you can buy for retail prices. Also check on your elders. Many of them will not admit they rely on these programs so grocery gift cards or a surprise bag of staples

Who needs talking heads on TV? This McDonald’s on a Tuesday night has the liveliest political debate going between 2 tables, ranging from COVID and Trump to declarations of “You’re insane,sir” to “It’s not easy being MAGA,” all in cheery but heartfelt tones. CNN, Fox and MSNBC could take notes.
