We tend to think of successes as these big moments. They aren’t. Success is fighting through the inertia and putting in the work every day. Success is showing up. Celebrate that and you will be happier.

But yeah anyway, regardless of whether they port or remake Explorers of Sky, you should play it, especially if you have never played it before. You are not allowed to call yourself a true Pokemon fan otherwise. Because it’s the best Pokemon game. You tellin’ me you never played it? WHAT???

And when that happens, they will have no choice but to release a new PMD title post-Gen 10. It probably won’t be as good as Explorers of Sky but it will feed the ravaging hyperfixation, at least for a little while.

And if this were to actually happen, I would not have to beg people on my hands and knees to play the game. More people would play it for the first time… willingly… ! The PMD fandom will expand. Pokesonas will explode across the Internet once more. It’s the future we need and the future we deserve.

NO, I swear I’m actually being realistic here! They just ported LGFR to the Switch DIDN’T they? We got Rescue Team DX on the Switch in 2020 DIDN’T we???

Look, I’m just saying it’s kinda, sorta, maybe, just a little bit possible. Just maybe.

But I think that is actually, equally just as good and just as exciting. Were it to happen. And it should. It surprises me that they WOULDN’T want to reintroduce Explorers of Sky. When I’m sure they know it’s like the pinnacle that holds up the entire PMD fandom.

Ideally, would love a new PMD game. Realistically, the timing doesn’t seem to coincide… especially if they announce Gen 10, it just doesn’t seem likely. *heavy sigh*

But an Explorers of Sky comeback seems… possible! How possible? I dunno, I don’t wanna jynx it. I just think it’s possible.

Pokémon Day draws nearer. I think if we do get anything PMD related (lol), it’ll probably be something related to Explorers — either a port or a DX remake.

And I’d be super okay with that, if only because it would get more people to play Explorers of Sky — objectively the best game ever made.

I have noticed that people seem to thirst for him more than any other SlumberTown character, at least outwardly. So I think that must be objectively true LOL

For some reason my brain never put together that the character was Link LOL, I just watched a lot of YTPs so I just got used to seeing the same CDI clips over and over in every video.

It’s something I’d like to actually look into more in the future! I do enjoy playing a lot of Pokemon roms and hacks but it’s mostly tethered to my PC. I’ve seen people sell rom hack cartridges on Etsy and I always wondered how legit it was.

I always wished we could have had that in Spanish class! It seemed like such an obvious thing! And I was always really curious to hear the characters’ voices in a language other than English.

I always think my religious trauma growing up conservative Christian was bad, then I listen to ex-evangelicals and ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses and I’m like, okay damn, at least we were able to wear pants and celebrate our own birthdays. 😆

It’s true! I’ve sat in sermons before where they’ve used Eve’s story to explain what a woman’s role must be haha. Like she was taken from Adam’s rib, Adam was take from God’s, so women are supposed to serve the husband and the husband serves god. The whole gender hierarchy of some denominations. 😅

Yes!!! You have to beat the main story though, and in the case of Explorers, you ALSO have to beat the postgame story so it can taaaaake… a while!

(If you’ve never played Explorers before, I think you should play it regardless, because it really is such a wonderful and feel-good experience! 🩷)

Anyway!!! Wow! We grew up! 🙌

But there’s still much work to be done before the 100% completion…

Not to be too dramatic but because I transitioned as an adult, my growth feels a little stunted (to me) and I tend to look a lot younger than I actually am. Which is why I feel like it’s kinda fun to stick with a middle evolution here. 😋

(That’s what I mean by “feels more Macxi-coded” LOL)

The temptation not to evolve the starters has been getting me with each game file. But I kinda like forcing my characters to grow up now. I am also grown up! I gotta look more adult-y these days. :P
