On the plus side, I think I’m starting to feel a little better today. In terms of the Being Sick. Mentally though I’m back to being stressed out, but that’s just how it is living with my parents and I think it’s something I’m used to. For better or for worse. 😅

Maybe I’d feel less tempered if I wasn’t sick, and maybe I’d feel less upset if I wasn’t still intentionally misgendered, and maybe I’d feel less hopeless if the world wasn’t in complete shambles right now. This is a prison and there’s no way out. None that I can see, anyway.

That’s really what it feels like. It feels like my life is a prison. Like there’s no way out, no matter what I do, no matter how hard I work, no matter WHAT I’m going to be trapped and my life is never going to be fully mine to own. Love that for me. 🩷

I’m tired of being treated like a kid. I lived away from my parents for 10 years before they pulled me back here. And that was something THEY did! And I let them!!! I let them take what little autonomy I had and now I worry I’ll never get it back again. Ugh.

I would give up anything just for the taste of autonomy again. Just for like… the illusion that I had any freedom in my life in any capacity.

How can it be that I’m 33 and working near-constantly and still micromanaged by my parents? At least when I was unemployed, I was able to let it fly a lot easier. Now I know I’m legitimately living in a prison LOL, I can’t make my own decisions as an adult because I’m stuck under their roof!!!!

I really need to find a way out of this prison of a life. 😩

Milo the fox kid: PROTECT TRANS KIDS

Milo has something to say, and he feels strongly about it.

Loving and accepting myself meant that I had to stop seeing myself as innately sinful or ugly inside. Working through my religious trauma helped me understand that a lot better.

So yeah, it’s like I said: Christianity isn’t for everyone. It wasn’t for me, and that’s alright!

But it just isn’t like that at all. In my lived experience, it’s not like that.

I don’t live my life feeling like I’m full of sin anymore, or y’know… feeling guilty about that! I just exist the way that I am and that’s okay. I make mistakes sometimes but usually I’m just doing my best. :)

I think that’s somewhere where the church would lose me too — the lack of nuance when it comes to what’s a sin vs. not, what’s wrong vs. right. The world isn’t black and white like that. I used to think it was a sin for me to have gender dysphoria, be trans, have anxiety, or autistic traits!!!

I’m aware of my limitations as a human and I truthfully do believe there’s way more out there in the universe than I am meant to know or fully comprehend. That’s why I’m agnostic. That’s why I’m happy being agnostic. If God(s) exist, I’ll leave the Big Thinking to them. I’ll simply exist!

It’s hard to explain, but I just have a different way I think about the universe, and reason about existence. My approach, I’d say, is simpler than most religions. It’s just a “let it be” outlook on life. I don’t care about being right or wrong, and I’m fine existing — unknowing.

I do think about checking out a woke church now and again just to see what it’s like — the community, the congregation, their biblical approach. But I still mostly see myself as a guest or a tourist in those spaces. I’m glad it creates community for some, even though it doesn’t for me.
