Writing for this lil project is one of the highlights of my year. It's fun designing and building the thing for everyone to share their thoughts but I love sneaking my own in there.

This year I've thought a lot about what it means to be a man and to be strong – physically and t'otherwise. Innit.

Last week, at @sdingov.bsky.social my brilliant Sport England colleagues @casseroleburgers.bsky.social and @simonpang.bsky.social gave a talk called Beware of the Team Doughnut 🍩 It's about the importance of team shape and why – when we didn't get that right – it was detrimental to our delivery.

What’s left for design? Why Designers should become Product Managers

Designer and feeling like you don't want to manage designers but don't want to make rectangles forever? Boy do I have just the ticket.

Honestly, designers should consider product. We need more designerinos leading product vision.

Not enough people talk about that bit in a project where everyone is so tired of not delivering that they're bristly and nailbitey.

Like, it already looks like a "t", why does it need to be crossed?

But you know it needs to be crossed because we have to dot the "i's" and cross those pesky "t's"
