An E-mail to the moderation team of Bluesky, titled "A call for Jay Graber's resignation". The text is as follows: "Good evening, I am writing to the Bluesky staff today to formally request that Jay Graber, CEO of Bluesky, resign from her position effective immediately. This request comes to address a number of grievances from both myself and members of the community in the public forum, highlighting her inability to lead and operate the site to a degree that the user base deems acceptable. These grievances and complaints, as I am sure you are aware, include but are not limited to the following examples: -Allowing Jesse Singal, a known grifter and bad faith analyst of transgender ideology, to maintain presence on the site despite numerous calls for his removal from the platform from the community, spanning several months. -Routinely banning and punishing users who express discontentment with anti-LGBTQ+ pundits and supporters, including the likes of J.K. Rowling and Donald J. Trump,  -Openly mourning and honoring the life of Charlie Kirk, an influencer with strong ties to the GOP, while chastising those of us who believe that his death was of no negative consequence to maintaining a palatable and civil forum of discussion, while simultaneously refusing to acknowledge the damages his violent rhetoric caused throughout the United States in the form of school shootings and Anti-LGBTQ+ demonstrations. -Refusing to open the floor to discussion of the prior grievances in a civil manner, time and time again, by disabling comments and quotes posted to official Bluesky accounts and disregarding comments on her personal accounts entirely. These grievances, and many more, have proven without a reasonable doubt that Jar Graber is unfit to operate as CEO while maintaining the community's satisfaction with her work. Once more, I am calling for her resignation, so that her replacement may better serve the needs of the community she has failed to this point."

Until this is addressed, I'm moving most of my activity over to Mastadon. Again, no social media loyalty from me.

Actually amazing how, in just 8 hours, the rhetoric went from "We're protecting the children!" to "We're protecting the guy who said that children need to be thrown under the bus for the Second Amendment!"

It's almost like you routinely criticize the Hippopotamus amphibius.

So, in short? If you like something, but it doesn't make sense from a writing standpoint, just... throw it in, anyway! The worst that's going to happen is that it's just not talked about in the narrative all that often, and that's fine.

But if you get an idea, you have some room to work it in.

I threw it in because, thematically, it blends well with her deviant attire and playful attitude. However, I later came back to the drawing board, and made it a far more meaningful aspect.

In that it's natural, and a symbolic scar of how she died in her previous life--a fatal blow to the head.

So, spoiler talk, Kyrie here is a good example of this. A lot of her design elements were deliberate for lore, but others weren't. Notably, her demonic traits and attire were absolutely planned with an end goal in mind.

The blue hair streak, however, wasn't.

Morning thoughts:

With character design and lore building, I think it's good to have a combination of both "if A, then B" and "B, therefore A" characteristics when designing a character--by which I mean, have some stuff have an initial purpose, and some stuff be left on the table.

Wrote three scripts for promotion purposes as a warm-up, diving into GODOT tutorials today.

Instructions unclear, I called them an invisible idiot and they started ghosting me.

...Then the admitted in person they can't figure out how to unblock me, either.

Just introduced a throwaway character named Demo'n, who is a demonic parody of TF2's Demoman, and plopped him into the script.

Not sure how I'll throw him into the main game, but I adore writing his lines.

As for the content itself: Loka's showing herself to be composed of one part angry homeless person, one part disaster lesbian, one part burnt out gifted child, and three parts distilled badass.

Got a lot of work on the script for the demo done, which is frankly the easiest part. I probably should have saved writing as a treat for actually learning how GODOT operates.

I considered jumping over to Greek lettering; and while that's cool and all, I don't think "Alpha-TRAS" is a power I want to give a heroic type with a clean criminal record. 😅

It's also both a play on the word "extras", which is essentially what the JRPG menu options are (I intend the full game to be MOSTLY beatable without the ability, albeit very difficult); in addition to "extrasensory", which is linked to Loka's innate abilities with telepathy that already exist.

"TRAS" is an acronym for Temporally Restraining Analysis Sense. Very few people in the history of the game lore posses this ability--24, when the demo starts, so users are denoted by the Latin alphabet, in the order they were recorded with their power. Loka's use of it is thus "X-TRAS".

I've thought more about this idea, and I'm absolutely going to work on a demo in my spare time. Tentative name for the project is X-TRAS, based on the mechanic that would turn the "Metroidvania" aspects into a JRPG briefly.

What does "X-TRAS" mean, though? It's a multi-layered pun. :)

There is a distinct possibility I may repurpose the entire story and just make an indie game.

Came up with some really cool concepts for a hybrid 2D Adventure Platformer/Traditional JRPG game, and I think I've at least managed a cool lore reason for the unusual combo.

We'll see what happens.

Doing a bit of worldbuilding before I start writing chapters up, and I'm just wondering.

Bringing it so close to the one that gave them permission to treat her. ...And stopped short as she heard a small sigh from Kyrie. She glanced up, and noticed that the girl was... so sad, now. She wasn't even watching her decision play out. "Mrh..." Loka groaned. She scribbled her signature, and handed off the paper. "Here." "Alright." Kyrie blindly took the paper, so disappointed in tone. "I guess I'll call up the ER to--hm?" Loka folded her arms and grumbled as she glanced at the unsigned treatment form in front of her, waiting for Kyrie to realize. The moment she did, she snapped her attention directly to Loka. "You-- you're sure, right? I--" The girl looked at the sheet, making sure it wasn't a mistake on her own part.

I'll be resuming work on the novel sometime in June, to coincide with returning to college to attempt a 4 year degree. From there, we'll see how things fare.

So, after sending her a rather bitter message about how she should have treated me better if she wanted to avoid going to the retirement home, I contacted the attorney I was working with and called off the intent.

It's not an act of mercy. I do not wish to sue and receive nothing.

She has zero marketable skills, she has no financial fallback, she doesn't even get a proper disability payout. I imagine that her fate is either going to be a hasty passing, or assisted living.

And I don't mean with my sisters. I doubt either of them will put up with her bullshit.

A friendly reminder to The Home Depot that you guys fired me for whistleblowing stressful work conditions and pleading for reasonable accommodations as an individual with CPTSD and anxiety disorders up the wazoo, and blacklisted me for three years.
