Like, even under a chips system like I proposed, the Jazz may very well have taken the back half of the season to have extended preseason. I don't really have a problem with that, so long as it's not tied to any sort of reward

As a fan of having the best players playing in ultimate competition, I think I would prefer to remove the incentive structure altogether. I don't think it's *bad* to attempt to develop players, I just think it's bad if attempting to lose has any positive value.

Today I offer some thoughts on what the “foundation of NBA competition” and “integrity” of the game mean. Spoiler alert: there is integrity in tanking when the system incentivizes it and backs small markets into a corner.

I don't get why adam silver is so mad that the jazz rested markkanen, he's not even as good as de'aaron fox, norm powell, brandon ingram, alperen sengun, jalen duren, etc.

Remember how the jazz win total was 17.5 haha

- Lottery night: Odds proportional to how many chips you have entered
- Picks are still tradable, so you can hypothetically add in your own pick and another teams' pick with one chip each.
- Chips carry over from year to year so you can stack them if you don't like a draft

- Every team who forgoes putting in a chip is then ranked by wins
- Chips are totally tradable, meaning they'll naturally flow from competitive teams to non-competitive ones
- Every year there's a "chip night" and a draft lottery night
- Chip night: each team declares how many chips they're entering

Lottery chips:
- Every single team in the league gets two lottery chips every year.
- At the end of the year, teams decide how many lottery chips to put into the given draft, blind.
- Every team that put in a chip is eligible for the lottery, the entire stack of teams is determined by the lottery.

My first vote is for lottery chips. Start with 14, get two every year, tradeable assets, play however many you want for any given draft.

My second vote for anti-tanking is GM's have to rank the teams Assets worst to best and there's a lottery after that.

My third vote is for a modified Gold's Plan
