i guess to end this basically im saying is that the kris susie knows and the kris noelle knows is both equally kris but the issue is that it's not fully kris and that if you put both parts together only then will you have kris in their entirety

but this only happens when kris makes that first step and susie warms up to them which imo we had no part in due to how you can just start at any chapter in deltarune and so this implies they would've became friends with susie anyways without our input

that's why susie was able to get them to play the piano, cause their situations are strikingly similar
i feel like susie may actually be the key to kris, ralsei, and noelle (and possibly berdly as well) attaining freedom
the freedom to be themself

the desire to want to be yourself but you feel like you can't, that you're just a tool
kris desperately wants to be able to be themself but reality and themself are both holding them down
that's why they uplift ralsei a lot when it comes to being himself and susie with herself

the situation noelle and kris are in is that noelle embraces the past and can't move forward while kris abandons the past and can't properly confront the present
kris's situation actually feels like a mesh of both susie's situation and ralsei's situations actually

the kris that noelle knows is ALSO kris with all the problems that comes with it
she might see kris as a prankster and mischievous yet quiet and although she's right, there's aspects of them they most likely never showed to her or it was just a minor part of themself at the time

the kris in the dark world IS kris but it's just the changed version of them, the version of them that developed while they were away from each other
we don't have that type of power to change their voice, especially when they tend to do it on their own which characters remarks to

so noelle is technically both right and wrong in her assessment about the kris she saw in the dark world not being kris
also i would take her words with a grain of salt since they've been distant from each other from years

i feel like it gets rid of a lot of characterization that way
personally what i think is happening is that kris changed but in doing so, they abandoned the parts of themself that they personally hate that still persisted

it's not so much kris is fighting us, they're fighting themself cause it's their soul that we utilize to get them to do stuff and their thoughts
realized how ass it would be if we constantly had to guess what is kris and what is us

we don't even have full control over kris, they do stuff on their own whenever they want to
at the most we can move them around and influence what they'll say but even then sometimes there'll be some push back
