Sadly, all the amazing things outside of the art and lettering and gonzo cosmic stuff that made it good before his breakdown is probably replicated and more streamlined in Jeff Smith’s Bone, ironically, given the friendship turned bitter rivalry they developed.

If you read it from the beginning and see how far he gets talent wise and all the accolades and friends he gets (Alan Moore referred to it as essential reading before things went south), you get the sense we’d be drowning in funko pops and merchandise if he didn’t crack or if he sold out.
