Where the trade war with China could go:

1) Trump retaliates again
2) China retaliates by stopping buying, or selling, US Treasury bonds
3) T bond market collapses. (Interest rates skyrocket )
4) Trump retaliates by defaulting on debt to (at least) China
5) economic chaos

Using the right language is important

He must have shorted the market. It’s the only thing that makes sense . If he did and gets away with it, the old evil or stupid debate is finally settled - evil. If he did not, well, he is just stupid.

It gets harder and harder to determine who wins the "evil or stupid" debate every day.

To this administration the poor are mere tools to be trampled on to increase their own wealth. If a few more die, why care?
