It's one of those games where we should not base our amusement on winning. 😎

We put #AssassinCreed Brotherhood of Venice back on the table this week after about a 18 months hiatus. I don't think we missed a beat. 😎

Hiatus was caused by the 4th player quitting mid campaign. We still haven't found a replacement but thought it was time to get back at it anyway.

Right, that's another good point. If we don't play a game often, it's even less appealing to spend a lot of money on it. As a personal collection grows larger, this becomes more frequent.

Sure, there were minis in the game that raises the cost. Do we need minis in all games, though? Acrylic standees are cool too, and I'm pretty sure they cost less to produce. What about thick tokens artfully decorated?

I was looking up a game on crowdfunding. It looked fun, but geez, even the base game is 200$CAD. Is that the new norm? I can't afford that, and I'm probably not the only one. This hobby can't continue to get more expensive, or it'll crash.
Anyway, that's my two cents.

I was browsing #Daggerheart community work tonight and found this interesting app. You can build encounters, share your homebrew adversaries and environments with other users, and even share stats and rolls between GM and players.

That's what I did over the weekend with my group. Told them I was no longer having fun with our current campaign, said that if they still want me to DM, we will have to change game/campaign.

The good news is someone else offered to DM something for a while!

Remember DM friends, you're not the servant for your players. If you don't have fun for whatever reason, tell them and make adjustments.

Sometimes, the solution could be to change the game. Or stop being the forever-GM.
