It’s Christmas morning.

As with most mornings, the cats are not fans.

As I lie in bed with a migraine, my cats are reminding me that they are ridiculously photogenic.

They may be litter mates, but they do have distinct personalities.

As I type this, Cassandra is looking over my shoulder and Abby is snuggled up next to me.

Abby kept her original name, but she definitely earned her middle name. (Her vet records list a middle initial of "N".) Abby's way of showing affection is a running/jumping headbutt, making her the head bonker in the household.

Cassandra's original name (given by the shelter) was April. She is one of the most vocal (and least believable) cats I have ever met, so she got a more appropriate name. Cassandra is always willing to sing the songs of her people, especially if her audience is captive (on the toilet).

Today marks the 2 year "gotcha day" for Abby and Cassandra.

Two years ago today, I brought these two sisters home (from Small Miracles Cat and Dog Rescue).

Once Abby realized I was awake, she got up to head butt me a few times. (This is how she shows affection.)
