I have a young child and a newborn on the way and measles outbreaks are uniquely scary for me. This is why herd immunity is so important; so people who can't develop immunity don't get sick. Please, get vaccinated

A fun fact about me is that I am measles non-immune. I have been vaccinated 3x (twice as a child on the regular schedule, and once after my first pregnancy when my titers came back negative for measles). They tested my titers again at the beginning of this pregnancy and still no measles immunity.

My near 3-yo wants to watch only lion king 2 (which he calls "the regular lion kind with Kiara). He will not watch lion king 1. Only lion king 2. We watch it on average 1x per day.

Year round amazing weather is an underrated joy of raising kids in LA, but let me tell you, there are like 5 indoor activities in the whole city and on a rainy day every single one of them is a mob scene.

I have a student with a full draft, who now is ineligible. What a waste. Especially challenging for students in chemistry who don't settle into labs until at least half way through their first year.

We took my 2 yo to his first baseball game today and my favorite part was when we told him it was over and the Dodgers won, and he thought for a second, then put up his hand and waved goodbye while yelling "bye bye Dodgers! Bye bye baseball guys!"
