A bunch of killer drones, all following the voice commands of these walking crime factories, all able to find a target using biometric data.

It was obvious to everyone who cared that Citizens United would be a plague upon democracy in America.

I hope we get a chance to undo that horrid mistake and set it firmly in the top 3 of the "worst supreme court decisions in history", along with Dred Scott, and the Roberts "Presidential immunity".

Any resolution we reach as a populace must reckon with this failure and move to popular vote wins.

Naturally, other facets are on the table. Ranked choice voting, election day holiday, etc.

But, the EC turned into a rubber stamp that was never going to actually do the one thing it was meant to do.

Which was to prevent abject morons, traitors, or anyone else patently unfit to hold the office of President of the United States.

This was entirely preventable, if the EC had actually done its stated job.

We know that it never was going to, but now that has been tested, and confirmed as a failure.

I always err on the side of "we will get through this".

Keeping with that spirit, once we do get through "this", the shoring up of Democracy in America must involve removal of the electoral college.

It's faults are well known.

What is less touched on is that it has failed in its one actual job.

She's not decrying the racism, she is far too unprincipled to step out of the gutter she gleefully helped to build.

Pretty sure she's literally just not sure what he's referring to, or why he's saying racist things, and she's scared she didn't get her memo of racist things to say on her next show.

Definitely, our entire model of supply is based on Just In Time principles, which is why COVID led to breakdowns just because of minor delays in seemingly unimportant areas.

Leads me back to thinking of a pen & paper rpg I once played called Cascade Failure, a game about a galaxy level system fail.

They are not perfect because no one is, but all this stuff that is "in the Republicans way", that they're trying so hard to destroy or subvert, are exactly what Democrats have done for us.

Cause it sure as shit isn't anything Republicans have done for "We The People" that they're trying to destroy.

What then, if "democrats haven't done anything for people", are all these regulations they're overturning?

The laws they're ignoring?

The agencies they're destroying?

The reason Republicans are destroying these things is because they're the ones who tried to prevent them all in the first place.

I keep seeing this story pop up every so often, and I'm at the point that I just assume the worst is true.

This is likely the stuff they keep trying to hide by refusing to fully unredact files and slow walking the releases of what they put out.

I have no reason to believe that they didn't do this.

The minimum valid punishment for any of them is life imprisonment. This is not an extreme position, their crimes are extreme, and they are willing to destroy everything to avoid punishment.

No, they must be destroyed. Their wealth stripped, everything they own liquidated and given to their victims.

Don't worry, when time comes for justice to be served, seek the maximum allowed penalty for contempt, and make a case for increasing those punishments due to extenuating circumstances.

They can all rot in the jails they think they're building for their opponents. I have no sympathy for these filth.

If I didn't already have solid Dem reps, I would campaign (and likely lose) wherever I could with that Venn merger as my whole platform.

Maybe also add in universal Right to Repair, and stop agri-monopolies & other corporations from locking farms into only one option for their seeds and fertilizer.

Wouldn't mind having someone put all the state Republicans on record answering the question "Will you oppose any effort by the federal government to subvert the will (vote) of the people in Wisconsin?"

Also, stop hemorrhaging tax money to every surrounding state and just legalize the green already.
