The courts are ruling that Trump never had the authority to impose tariffs. He's perfectly capable of ignoring the courts but he's signaling that he may be about done with tariffs anyway. And why not? He's literally gotten billions in bribes from anyone who was willing so that scam is done.

I know nothing about the woman but as a rule I've found horrible people tend to have horrible spouses and all but one of their kids turn out horrible too. Maybe she's fine with this attitude so long as they have POWER.

It's an unusual approach to SciFi. I've enjoyed the series and applaud the author for taking the risk of writing from a non-human perspective and dealing with themes like immortality.

It's hard to write engaging scifi or fantasy that's not a series of shootouts and escapes, or a huge pile of tired tropes. But that's what Jenny does. This series is smart, entertaining, sometimes sarcastic, and has a bit of romance. The challenges are novel and the solutions clever. Recommended.

I noticed the way Amazon presents books in a browser has changed. It's easier to see if you have all of a series, much quicker. If you want to use the old method that's still there too. Also, notice the hearts under the books I don't yet have. Clicking those puts them on your wishlist

Trying to think of why anyone would troll your fiction, all I get is some might complain the science isn't real. Duh, not hard sci-fi. Also? Any sci-fi where humans travel to the stars doesn't align with known science so it's all fantasy on some level.

Overall this sounds positive for the buyer. It ups the value of those 5* reviews even further but I worry about 1*. Especially when they're trolling a genre. Like complaining that Christian or Buddhist fiction is preachy, or the reverse, "I'm a Christian and this romance novel is smut!"

In a broader sense it's sad that after thousands of years painfully crawling up from our barbarity all it has taken is a signal that evil can win for many to engage their darker impulses, using today's most sophisticated tools. Always been some but not the number and openness we see now.

Good read. A war widow struggles to navigate post war dangers and complicated relationships. It's witty, suspenseful, and has clever twists. There's action but it's not a series of shootouts, with smart solutions being preferred. I had to wait for each new book but you can get the whole series now.

It occurs to me if I were better at it, scenes like this would be fun to write. Need to change my attitude. Hm. T.H. White has some scenes like this between sisters, maybe I'll reread some of that for inspiration.

Most awkward scene I've written. Urban fantasy, Julia's brother walks in on her and she's trying to explain why she looks like a demon but can't tell him the truth. Gha!
