As someone who was very young when the dotcom bubble popped, I don’t have a meaningful metric to compare this to from personal experience, but: This seems bad! Not really sure what to do to prepare for it except cry.

Tonight’s session of #SpaceGirls was so good. Players committed to what characters would do in the moment, whether it was wise or even good. A crisis averted, but a personal secret revealed with immense guilt for discovering it. All while my poor character continues to be tortured. So messy!

There are some situations where AI can be helpful, like recapping meetings, identifying themes, or suggesting test cases. It will always have less accuracy, depth, and ROI for many applications. And it can be costly to both build and maintain because it’s only as good as its source material. 🤦‍♀️

They want to automate playtesting?! A deeply subjective piece of game development that benefits most from real human beings?! The plot isn’t just lost, it’s in an alternate universe. That’s also three disciplines’ fears confirmed of AI taking their jobs: voice acting, art, and QA. This is absurd.

I haven’t paid much attention to baseball in years, but with the Mariners having an amazing season and bananaball kicking off a national tour, I might have to change that. They’re the only team that’s never been to the World Series and it would be a bright spot in a shitty year if they changed that.

One of my biggest talking points in favor of expanded public transit: parking! Parking is a nightmare in many cities, and creating massive parking garages next to bus or train routes that make frequent trips into/out of the city is slightly slower but less stressful and less expensive. Worth it!

If ever there was a sign for studios gobbled up by huge corporations to split off and do their own thing... Games like The Sims and Mass Effect 5 might be doomed, people would absolutely boycott EA more than before, and another big layoff seems virtually guaranteed.
